WAUNA TILE & STONEWORKS
SHOWERS / Traditional & Curbless entry
Here are just a few photos of the nearly 150 previous showers that I have built. Ranging from basic traditional walk-ins with curb to dropping subfloors and constructing barrier free entry showers the proper way. Properly dropping the subfloor not only makes for an ease of access to the shower area but alsoI adds a significant amount of structural integrity to the area which aides in the weight of the building materials and tile . Installations shown here range from 3"x6" rittenhouse "subway" tile, deco / hand glazed tile to extra large format 24"x48" and 30"x60" porcelain tile. Also, different patterns and orientation of wall tile can be found , from the common horizontal and verticle to cutting down both sides of a 4"x12" and stacking on a chevron pattern to my favorite to install, cutting down a 24"x48" tile to 5 different sizes and setting on a one of a kind versailles like pattern, guaranteed to be original with no other exactly like it in the world. Another aspect showcased here is the attention and additional time I take to make the "veining" of tile match up from top, bottom and sides of each tile as best as possible, this extra time can be overlooked by other contractors which, in my opinion, leads to a sloppy looking, in a rush to get paid, no care taken finished shower which would make me second guess if the shower was properly built or were there short cuts made. By being a "one man band" owner/installer of Wauna Tile, I can guarantee that no shortcuts, no "mickey mouse" installations and no steps by-passed n the construction of your shower will be made. I can and do guarantee a lifetime lasting shower install constructed with high quality materials. My builds all contain additional support for structural integrity and added moisture barriers that other contractors do not utilize.
